Operations Manager

If so, then River Horse DC is looking for you.  We currently have an opening for a professional Operations Manager to plan, direct and coordinate multiple departments within the River Horse DC organization. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, safety and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. You will manage a team of Department Leads that you will mentor and help grow to provide excellent service to our customers.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehousing environment.

• Achieves warehouse operational objectives by creating strategic plans, preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
• Ensures process are followed by utilizing various reporting tools and monitoring reports.
• Has the drive and motivation to ensure all customer expectations are exceeded.
• Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Drives zero failures, ensures applicable quality control processes are in place.
• Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Secures property by developing and enforcing protection and access policies and procedures.
• Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures – all across multiple departments.
• Work on weekends will be required

• Must be able up to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication is a must
• Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc).
• Associates degree required, warehouse/operations management experience will be considered in lieu of an associate’s degree.
